IN HEAVEN AND YOU

In Heaven and You: Throughout 2009 I performed in Alex vallejo's project known as In Heaven and You, lending backing vocals, guitar and cocktail drum kit (played standing up).

2003:

DAWN DINEEN

"WOUND CHECK"

2002:

BOB VOGT

"WIGGLE THE WIRE"

Bob Vogt "Wiggle the Wire": I sang the intro vocal on Bob's song "Riding High". Bob was one of my instructors at audio school in the mid '90's. Check out his website for some crazy stories from his days working as a major-label recording engineer.

2001:

DAWN DINEEN

"A THOUSAND YARNS"

Dawn Dineen "A Thousand Yarns": DIY production: I played all guitars and bass plus did all the recording and mixing with assist from Bob Vogt.

John Sutton played all the acoustic drums and I programmed a drum machine for 3 songs. Features a cover of the song "Ant Farm" by the 90's Williamsburg/Brooklyn band called The Highwaters.

2000:

THE HIGHWATERS

"THE UNWANTED SOUNDS OF"

The Highwaters "The Unwanted Sounds Of" EP: I sang very subtle, falsetto backing vocals on "Now I Am A Real Scientist". The Highwaters was one of my favorite indie bands of the 90's; the brainchild of composer/multi-instrumentalist Shay Lynch.

The Highwaters played a lot of shows at the infamous "Charleston" on Bedford in Williamsburg (Brooklyn) owned at the time by "Benny" who served up a low-budget DIY light show for the bands with a flashlight and a color-wheel and then flicked the main lights on and off to make his own 'strobe'. Cheap beer and pizza, great music. Good times.

1998:

SHEZEROD

EPONYMOUS EP

Shezerod: short-lived rock trio, I wrote the songs, played guitar and sang. John Sutton was on drums and an amazing guitarist named Pat Bohan played bass.

"Situation" by Shezerod
1997 & 1996:

HYPATIAN SKY

Hypatian Sky: Named after the first notable female mathematician 'Hypatia of Alexandria' (400 BC).

This was a trio featuring the drumming of John Sutton and bass guitar and violin by then 16 year-old musical madman Gavin Fallow. We had to fib about Gavin's age all the time to get him into shows, something probably trickier to do these days.

Audio samples should be here eventually...

1995:

PETER DAVIS

Peter Davis "Peter Davis": Rock artist from Sweden; I sang the female vocal on "Lawman".

"Lawman" (clip) by Peter Davis

VIKKI CHILDS

Vikki Childs "Middle of the Night": Assistant Engineer and Backing Vocals on 4 songs; featured Nils Lofgren on guitar and Andy Newmark on drums.

"I'm Not Sorry" (clip) by Vikki Childs
